How many total buses are in FWISD's fleet? Response : The current fleet consists of 413 buses. Trustee Anne Darr: This agenda item proposes to replace 40 buses. What is the plan to replace the other 107+ buses that will be 10 years or older in the near future? Response: The Transportation department is working on a multi-year life cycle and decommission plan for the fleet. Over time, the fleet will be right-sized, ensuring an optimal count of reliable vehicles with fiscally responsible decisions based on the District’s real-time needs.
