Upon a motion by Curtis Parrish Amendment #1 to Item #5 to approve ELECTED OFFICIALS SALARIES for FY2027 amended as follows: Increase the proposed salary for: COUNTY JUDGE to $ 127,436 SHERIFF to $ 153,000 COUNTY CLERK to $ 93,406 COUNTY COMMISSIONER PCT.1, 2, 3, & 4 to $ 92,499 COUNTY TREASURER to $ 93,406 DISTRICT CLERK to $ 93,406 JUSTICE OF THE PEACE PCT. 2 to $ 102,699 JuSTICE OF THE PEACE PCT.1, 3, & 4 to $ 92,685 TAX ASSESSOR-COLLECTOR to $ 93,406, and CONSTABLE PCT. 1, 2, 3, & 4 to $ 70,650." Motion failed for lack of second. Upon a motion by Jason Corley, seconded by Cary Shaw, the court voted to set salary, expenses, and other allowances of elected county or precinct officers for FY 2027, per Local Government Code 152.013(a) as published and amended to include a car allowance of $4,800.00 for Commissioners one, three and four.
