Consider adopting a resolution accepting the resignation of District 3 Councilmember Susan Long. nd Floor Conference Room for Executive Session. III. EXECUTIVE SESSION 4. Deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer. Pursuant to Texas Government Code § 551.074 the City Council will enter into executive session to deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer. No final action will be taken. 5. Receive a briefing from the City Attorney regarding updates related to pending or contemplated litigation. Pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 551.071 the City Council will enter into executive session to seek the advice of its attorney on pending or contemplated litigation or a settlement offer regarding a claim and will conduct a private consultation with its attorney on a matter in which the duty of the attorney to the Council under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with Texas Local Government Code Chapter 551. No final action will be taken. The City Council reserves the right to discuss any items in executive (closed) session whenever permitted by the Texas Open Meetings Act.
