This item allows for the purchase of a replacement backhoe for PW164 from Mustang Machinery Company LLC, D/B/A Mustang CAT through Sourcewell Contract No. 011723-CAT in the amount of $159,153.62.<br><br>The Wastewater Maintenance Division of Public Works manages over 14,000 water and sewer connections to ensure uninterrupted services for all customers throughout the City and backhoes and excavators are a large component of what it takes to maintain these utilities. Without the ability to excavate, service interruptions, uncontrolled leaks, and sewer overflows may occur, and PW164 is a 2011 model backhoe with over 5000 hours of service and is ready for replacement.  The new backhoe and loader will replace PW164 with a new, more reliable unit to ensure continued high-quality service for our customers.<br><br>This item is being paid for from the City's Water and Sewer Fund Balance.
