Consider/Approve Update to Board Policy DEC Local Description: Priority  #5: Optimize All Available Resources The proposed changes would align eligibility with the policy's "catastrophic illness or injury" standard rather than limiting participation to terminal illness, clarify that qualifying circumstances may include the employee, the employee's spouse, or the employee's child, and establish general parameters for administration to evaluate and develop options. Additionally,  Administration proposes to gather employee input regarding the payment for accumulated leave upon retirement and return to the Board in October with a recommendation, including proposed retirement leave provisions, for Board consideration.
