2026-0082 Grant Submission; Continuation; District Attorney – Fiscal Year 2027 Office of the Governor – Criminal Justice Division – Behavioral Health Services for Mentally Ill in Criminal Justice; Grant Request Amount of $579,975; No Cash Match Needed On a motion made by Commissioner Dr. Elba Garcia, and seconded by Commissioner Andrew Sommerman, the following order was passed and adopted by the Commissioners Court of Dallas County, State of Texas: BRIEFING DATE: January 20, 2026 FUNDING SOURCE: Grant Funds; No Cash Match Needed Be it resolved and ordered that the Dallas County Commissioners Court does hereby MOTION: On a motion made by TBD, and seconded by TBD, the following order will be voted on by the Commissioners Court of Dallas County, State of Texas: Be it resolved and ordered that the Dallas County Commissioners Court does hereby approve the District Attorney’s Office to submit the grant application to the Office of the Governor to fund the Behavioral Health Services for Mentally Ill in Criminal Justiceproject in the amount of $579,975 with no cash match needed. A r esolution signed by all Commissioners’ Court members is necessary to comply with the grant application requirements. Additionally, the Commissioners’ Court authorizes the County Judge to sign all related documents with this application and award. The grant project is from October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027.
