This item allows the City Council to approve the proposal from and award a contract to fun abounds, inc., for the Playground Resurfacing Project at Stevenson Park, to be funded by Capital Maintenance Funds. Attached is the quote from Fun Abounds in the amount of $189,605 along with a Supplemental Agreement and BuyBoard Contract No. 781-25. The City is requesting that the full amount be allocated from the Capital Maintenance Funds.<br><br>The improvements being made to Stevenson Park include the Turf and Swings Areas being converted to bonded rubber surfacing as well as installation of drainage for the Turf Area. <br><br>The City of Friendswood is a member of the Texas Local Government Purchasing Cooperative (BuyBoard), which was created to increase the purchasing power of governmental entities and simplify their purchasing of needed equipment and services.
