This investment uses Travis County Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (LFRF) for pandemic response in support of the Safer Travis County Resolution approved by Travis County Commissioners Court on November 1, 2022. TCCC approved funding in the amount of $500,000 dollars. Ascension Seton, which includes Dell Seton Medical Center at UT-Austin is the only level 1 adult trauma center in Central Texas and Dell Children’s Medical Center, is the only pediatric level 1 pediatric trauma center in Central Texas. Subrecipient handles the most serious clinical incidents of violence in the community. Last year, DSMC and DCMC received over 150 patients identified as victims of assault, stabbings, and gun violence.
