2025-0534 Jury Services – Approval to Accept Foundation of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) Grant Award in the Amount of $2,500 to Support Jury Appreciation Efforts On a motion made by Commissioner Dr. Elba Garcia, and seconded by Commissioner Andrew Sommerman, the following order was passed and adopted by the Commissioners Court of Dallas County, State of Texas: BRIEFING DATE: May 6, 2025 FUNDING SOURCE: 100.20400.4060.22310.00000.0000 Be it resolved and ordered that the Dallas County Commissioners Court does hereby approve the acceptance of the $2,500 grant award from the Foundation of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) to support jury appreciation efforts during Jury Appreciation Week. This is a one-time contribution and Jury Services will be required to submit a program recap and financial report within 60 days of project completion. The $2,500 grant will be deposited into account 100.20400.4060.22310.00000.0000. There is no additional cost to Dallas County.
