2025-0988 National Recovery Month 2025 On a motion made by Commissioner John Wiley Price, and seconded by Commissioner Dr. Elba Garcia, the following order was passed and adopted by the Commissioners Court of Dallas County, State of Texas: BRIEFING DATE: September 16, 2025 FUNDING SOURCE: NA Be it resolved and ordered that the Dallas County Commissioners Court does hereby join the nationwide Recovery Month efforts to heighten awareness and promote a greater understanding of mental health and substance use disorders. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Dallas County adopt the national Recovery Month focus, which beckons first responders, healthcare workers, community leaders, and advocates helping to support recovery in our larger society.
