Staff Report & Agenda Item Details

The Work-Based Learning/Summer Youth Employment Program is a partnership between the City of Austin and Travis County Health and Human Services. It serves as a steppingstone for first-time job seekers and those facing barriers to self-sufficiency. The program provides community-based workforce development training and employee engagement to help these individuals find employment. Additionally, the Summer Youth Employment Program collaborates with local schools, non-profits, and City/County government agencies to proactively address poverty's vicious cycles.  We will serve up to 375 youth.
