In response to correspondence from a resident group, Commissioners Precinct 1 and Precinct 4 would like to commence the process of renaming Travis County Southeast Metropolitan Park in honor of former Commissioner Margaret J. Gomez.<br><br>Section 1.020 of the Travis County Code establishes the County’s policy for renaming parks and associated park facilities and provides a framework for resident input. In accordance with the provisions of this section, it is proposed that the Department place an item on the agenda for the Court to consider this information and present a recommendation as follows:<br><br><strong>Current Name of County Park or Facility:</strong><br>Southeast Metropolitan Park<br><strong>Specific Name Proposed:</strong><br>Margaret J.
