The Travis County Historical Commission has requested the establishment of an interlocal agreement between Travis County and the City of Austin, to provide a framework for County and City staff and representatives to work together on projects and initiatives that advance shared historical preservation and public history goals. One example is the development of a downtown historic corridor that would connect sites such as the Austin History Center and the Travis County Heman Marion Sweatt Courthouse.
