Discuss and take action concerning the City of Friendswood's Proposed Fiscal Year 2026-2027 Municipal Budget.

This item allows the City Council to discuss the City of Friendswood's Proposed Fiscal Year 2026-2027 Municipal Budget and the input received at the public hearing and to take action as required by Section 102.007 of the Texas Government Code. <br><br>Specifically, such section requires that at the conclusion of the public hearing on the municipal budget, the City Council "take action on the proposed budget."  As such, the Council may at this time either:<br><br><div style="margin-left: 40px;">1. vote to approve the proposed budget and then separately ratify the property tax increase reflected in the adopted budget, or</div><div style="margin-left: 40px;">2. postpone the approval of the budget until September 14, 2026, the date the City Council is scheduled to consider the adoption of the tax rate.</div>
