This Interlocal Agreement provides for the County’s internet connectivity services through The University of Texas at Austin. These services are critical for the County to provide support to remote workers, communicate with vendors, and the broadcast of Commissioners Court meetings.<br data-pasted="true"><br>Since 2005, through an Interlocal Agreement (ILA) between governmental entities, Travis County has participated in an agreement that provides internet connectivity services delivered via local circuit delivery systems, statewide backbone network links, and other provider connections contracted by The University of Texas’ Office of Telecommunication Services. <br><br>Information Technology Services (ITS) requests to continue these services for an additional twelve months from September 1, 2026, through August 31, 2027. Total costs will not exceed $3,341.25 per month or $40,095.00 annually.<br><br>The Interlocal Cooperation Contract is attached as backup.
