Travis County Justice Planning has requested the Purchasing Office utilize a Request for Proposal to solicit multiple CDL Training Services contracts. Justice Planning is requesting to use an RFP so they may award contracts to the most qualified and experienced vendors, while considering several evaluation factors, of which price is only one factor. <br data-pasted="true"><br>Local Government Code Section 262.030(d) states the Purchasing Agent may use the competitive proposal purchasing method for the purchase of insurance or high technology items. In addition, the method may be used to purchase other items when the Purchasing Agent determines, with the consent of the commissioners court, that it is in the best interest of the county to make a request for proposals.
