The Facilities Management Department (FMD) works with offices and departments on requests for new space, temporary space, and additional space needs beyond their current space assignment. Requests for permanent space allocation are analyzed and recommended by FMD and approved by Commissioners Court as an allocation of County resources. Staff in the Office of Security and Protection primarily report to the office in-person, daily, with little to no remote work options. In addition, the work of this office is uniquely suited to collocate with the tenants of the second floor.
