2025-1159 Approve the Formation of the Dallas County Housing Finance Corporation 2025 Mr. Bazan read the following into the record: The recommendation section and in the motion section. We'd like to clarify that each member of the Dallas County Commissioners Court shall appoint one individual to serve on the board of directors of the Dallas County Housing Finance Corporation, 2025 each appointee shall serve during the term of office of the appointing Commissioner or County Judge. Marked until such time as a successor is dually appointed. The Articles of Incorporation are correct, as written, we just wanted to clarify. On a motion made by Commissioner Dr. Elba Garcia, and seconded by Commissioner John Wiley Price, the following order was passed and adopted by the Commissioners Court of Dallas County, State of Texas: BRIEFING DATE: October 7, 2025 FUNDING SOURCE: N/A Be it resolved and ordered that the Dallas County Commissioners Court does hereby approve the application and articles of incorporation for formation of the Dallas County Housing Finance Corporation 2025, designate the five members of the Commissioners Court to serve as the Board of Directors, and authorize Jonathon Bazan to act as the County’s representative to facilitate filing and organizational matters until the board convenes. Done in open Court October 7, 2025 by the following vote: IN FAVOR: County Judge Clay Jenkins, Commissioner Dr. Theresa Daniel, Commissioner John Wiley Price, Commissioner Dr. Elba Garcia, and Commissioner Andrew Sommerman OPPOSED: None
