2025-1064 National Breast Cancer Awareness Month On a motion made by Commissioner Dr. Elba Garcia, and seconded by Commissioner Dr. Theresa Daniel, the following order was passed and adopted by the Commissioners Court of Dallas County, State of Texas: BRIEFING DATE: October 7, 2025 FUNDING SOURCE: n/a Be it resolved and ordered that the Dallas County Commissioners Court does hereby recognize October as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the third week of October as Male Breast Cancer Awareness Week in Dallas County. We encourage all residents to support awareness, prevention, early detection and research efforts in the fight against breast cancer. Furthermore, the Court commends the vital work of local partners such as Parkland Health and Methodist Dallas Medical Center for expanding access to mammograms and breast health education in our community.
