As directed by the Court on July 15, 2025, HHS has begun drafting a long-term implementation plan outlining the strategic priorities, goals, and objectives that will guide the investment of the Raising Travis County Child Care and Out of School Time Fund. The plan will include key goals, strategies, deadlines, deliverables, and measurable outcomes. HHS staff will provide a status update on the plan and outline next steps and the timeline for its completion. United Way for Greater Austin's Vice President of Impact - Data and Evaluation, Dr. Alison Bentley, will provide an overview of the results of the 2025 United Way for Greater Austin Early Childhood Education landscape survey. Andy Roddick Foundation's Chief Program Officer, Mary Riggs, will provide an overview of the results of the Raising Travis County-funded 2025-2026 Out of School Time (OST) landscape analysis. These studies provide insight into the availability and quality of child care and OST programming in Travis County, as well as the current state of their respective workforce pipelines. The studies provide data on the bright spots and challenges within the child care and OST ecosystems that will inform Raising Travis County policy and funding recommendations across all four strategies identified in the long-term implementation plan.
