2025-0394 Texas Motor Vehicle Records Data Contract Application Submission – Texas Department of Motor Vehicles On a motion made by Commissioner Dr. Elba Garcia, and seconded by Commissioner Andrew Sommerman, the following order was passed and adopted by the Commissioners Court of Dallas County, State of Texas: BRIEFING DATE: April 1, 2025 FUNDING SOURCE: General Fund - Countywide Appropriations Be it resolved and ordered that the Dallas County Commissioners Court does hereby approve the submission of the Texas Motor Vehicle Records Data Contract Application to the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles for continued access to vehicle registration and title data in support of County operations, including Scofflaw enforcement. Further move that the County Judge as the Authorized Representative include a (redacted) copy of their government-issued ID as part of the application, based on proof of the requestor's identity in accordance with §217.123(b) or (c) of this title (relating to Access to Motor Vehicle Records) and sign all related documents for the execution of this contract.
