As part of the American Rescue Plan Act — Local Fiscal Recovery Fund (ARPA-LFRF) pass-through grant to the County, Commissioners Court approved Contract No. 4400007239 with El Buen Samaritano Episcopal Mission (El Buen Samaritano) on October 31, 2023. The contract funds the Tenant Stabilization Program and provides financial assistance to eligible households at risk of eviction and/or facing eviction.<br><br>On December 10, 2024, the Commissioners Court Approved Modification #1, allowing Contract No. 4400007239 the opportunity to execute a Subaward modification to take on LFRF project savings that may become available for re-obligation that were previously obligated to another eligible project. On 7/14/26, Modification #2 to re-obligate $1,207,850.00 of LFRF project savings that had been identified by the Planning and Budget Office (PBO) to the El Buen project was approved. <br><br>This Modification #3 proposes to re-obligate <strong>$643,725.63</strong> of LFRF project savings that have been identified by the Planning and Budget Office (PBO) for the purposes of the El Buen project, bringing the new contract amount to<strong> $8,144,359.63. </strong>In addition, the Modification proposes to ratify back to be effective August 1, 2026, to accommodate the additional staffing undertaken to carry out the remaining contract funds.
