2026-0140 Approve Interlocal Agreement Between Dallas County Sheriff’s Office and Texas Office of Court Administration for First Business Court Security Services performed by Dallas County Sheriff's Deputies On a motion made by Commissioner Dr. Elba Garcia, and seconded by Commissioner John Wiley Price, the following order was passed and adopted by the Commissioners Court of Dallas County, State of Texas: BRIEFING DATE: February 3, 2026 FUNDING SOURCE: Texas Office of Court Administration Be it resolved and ordered that the Dallas County Commissioners Court does hereby approve the Interlocal Agreement between Dallas County, on behalf of the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office, and the Texas Office of Court Administration for the provision of security and bailiff services to the First Business Court Division Dallas, as presented, and authorize the County Judge to execute the agreement and all related documents. Approval will allow the Sheriff’s Office to provide necessary court security services with all associated costs fully reimbursed by the Texas Office of Court Administration. Done in open Court February 3, 2026 by the following vote: IN FAVOR: County Judge Clay Jenkins, Commissioner Dr. Theresa Daniel, Commissioner John Wiley Price, Commissioner Dr. Elba Garcia, and Commissioner Andrew Sommerman OPPOSED: None
