Consider appointing (i) Rebecca Hillenburg, (ii) Chris Richardson, (iii) Scott MacKenzie, and (iv) Brett Banfield to the Friendswood Downtown Economic Development Corporation for a two-year term beginning July 1, 2026, and ending on June 30, 2028.

The Friendswood Downtown Economic Development Corporation is a Type B corporation that may undertake projects as described in Chapters 501 and 505 of the Local Government Code, including undertaking projects as authorized by law, including but not limited to:<br><br>Projects to promote new or expanded business enterprises in the downtown area as defined by the City of Friendswood Downtown District Map including: streets, targeted infrastructure, paved sidewalks, pedestrian amenities; such as, benches, lighting, signage, other related public improvements and the maintenance and operations expenses for any of the previously described projects.<br><br>The following members desire re-appointment and, if appointed, will be their second appointment under the City's new Appointment Policy:<div style="margin-left: 20px;">(i) Rebecca Hillenburg, </div><div style="margin-left: 20px;">(ii) Chris Richardson, and </div><div style="margin-left: 20px;">(iii) Scott MacKenzie.</div><br>Ron Cox does not desire re-appointment leaving one vacancy on the Corporation.<br><br>Brett Banfield has completed the Appointment Policy screening and is being recommended to replace Mr. Cox on the Corporation.  If appointed, this will be Mr. Banfield's first appointment to this board under the City's new Appointment Policy.<br><br>If appointed, these members will serve a full two-year term beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2028.
