2025-0444 Approve the Sponsorship Agreement between Dallas County, on behalf of the Dallas County Historical Commission, and the Dallas Film Society, for the 2025 Dallas International Film Festival to support the "Best Historical Film" award in the amount of $5,000 On a motion made by Commissioner Dr. Elba Garcia, and seconded by Commissioner Andrew Sommerman, the following order was passed and adopted by the Commissioners Court of Dallas County, State of Texas: BRIEFING DATE: April 15, 2025 FUNDING SOURCE: Fund 168 Unallocated Reserves Be it resolved and ordered that the Dallas County Commissioners Court does hereby authorize and approve the Sponsorship Agreement between Dallas County, on behalf of the Dallas County Historical Commission, and the Dallas Film Society, for the 2025 Dallas International Film Festival to support the "Best Historical Film" award in the amount of $5,000; the sponsorship will support the Dallas County Historical Commission's mission to raise awareness and promote economic tourism in Dallas County through the DIFF event.
