This contract will provide CPR Training Services to the Juvenile Probation Department (JPD) and Transportation and Natural Resources (TNR) Department.<br><br>The American National Red Cross (ARC) has been providing CPR training for Travis County staff since 2022, but this contract is a more comprehensive partnership in which The American Red Cross plays a direct role in delivering training. The American Red Cross typically provides instructors, materials, certification processing, and administrative support, while the client organization focuses on logistics such as facilities, participant coordination, and scheduling. This model reduces the administrative and instructional burden on Travis County and offers a turnkey training solution.<br><br>Pursuant to Texas Local Government Code 262.024, a contract for the purchase of a personal or professional service is exempt from the requirement established by section 262.023, if the Commissioners Court by order grants the exemption. <br><em> </em><br>This contract is anticipated to exceed $50,000 over the life of the contract. <br><em> </em><br><strong>Contract Information:</strong><br>Contract No.: 4400008804<br>Contractor Name: The American National Red Cross<br>Contract Award Amount: As needed<br>Contract Period: Execution – June 8, 2029
