2025-0865 Financial Awareness Day On a motion made by Commissioner Dr. Theresa Daniel, and seconded by Commissioner Dr. Elba Garcia, the following order was passed and adopted by the Commissioners Court of Dallas County, State of Texas: BRIEFING DATE: August 19, 2025 FUNDING SOURCE: NA Be it resolved and ordered that the Dallas County Commissioners Court does hereby NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Dallas County Commissioners Court does hereby recognize August 14 as Financial Awareness Day and commends the Dallas County Home Loan Counseling Center for its efforts to promote financial literacy, homeownership, and generational wealth through its programming and educational outreach. This recognition also serves to encourage residents to become informed about the homeownership opportunities offered by Dallas County.
