5.U. Consider/Approve Renewal Amendments Between Dallas College and CFBISD for the 2026-2027 School Year Description: Priority #1: Optimize Engaging and Diverse Learning The Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD administration requests approval to renew the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Dallas College. This continued partnership provides our high school students with the invaluable opportunity to earn college credit hours while simultaneously completing their high school graduation requirements. Under this collaborative agreement, Dallas College generously covers 100% of tuition costs for CFB ISD dual-credit students. To ensure there are zero financial barriers to higher education, the CFB ISD Board of Trustees generously funds all student textbooks. During the previous academic year, this partnership yielded exceptional student participation and academic success across our five high school campuses: •   677 unique CFB ISD students actively participated in the dual credit program. •   Students attempted a total of 2,058 college courses, successfully completing 1,881 of them (a 91.4% class completion rate). •   This translated to 6,507 attempted college credit hours, with 5,950 hours successfully completed (a 91.4% hour completion rate). •   This collaboration saved our local families hundreds of thousands of dollars in tuition and textbook costs, giving our students a massive head start on their post-secondary education. Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approves the agreements between Dallas College and Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD and authorizes the Superintendent or her designee to execute contracts in the District's best interest as presented.
