2025-0458 Approval of Dallas County Election Precinct boundary changes and creation of new Dallas County Election Precincts On a motion made by Commissioner John Wiley Price, and seconded by Commissioner Dr. Elba Garcia, the following order was passed and adopted by the Commissioners Court of Dallas County, State of Texas: BRIEFING DATE: April 15, 2025 FUNDING SOURCE: N/A Be it resolved and ordered that the Dallas County Commissioners Court does hereby in accordance with the Texas Election Code Sections 42.031(a) and 42.033(a) approve of the changes to the County election precincts boundaries and the creation of new County election precincts as outlined in Attachment A; and The Dallas County Commissioners Court further orders that the changes to the County election precincts boundaries and the creation of new County election precincts as outlined in Attachment A to be effective January 1, 2026. Commissioner Andrew Sommerman amended the briefing to exclude Precinct 2802. The number is 500 from the max that you have to split. This Precinct is single family dwellings and businesses and is unlikely to grow.
