The Travis County Correctional Complex is located within the geographic boundaries of DVISD. Under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), DVISD is required to provide a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) to eligible individuals with disabilities.<br id="isPasted"><br>Eligible individuals include those under the age of 22 who have not graduated from high school and meet criteria for special education services. TCSO houses individuals who meet these requirements, necessitating coordination with DVISD to ensure compliance with federal law.<br><br>TCSO and DVISD have maintained this partnership since 2000, and this agreement represents a routine update to continue these services.
