The Balcones Canyonland Preserve (BCP) is an assemblage of protected lands for several federally endangered species and species of concern. The existing roads in the BCP consist of dirt and rock and are showing signs of erosion and disrepair. This project supplements the County’s broader BCP road maintenance efforts by following a phased approach to repair 23.5 miles out of 70.1 miles identified as degraded.<br><br data-pasted="true">Change Order No. 3 adjusts bid quantities for the current work season, for items including dust control, six-inch concrete pavement, and rip rap for slope protection. It also adds 1,029 calendar days to update this and existing change orders’ calendar days from the initial contract calendar days’ amount.
