<ul style="list-style-type: disc;"><li>The Grayson County Metropolitan Planning Organization, which is the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for the Sherman-Denison Metropolitan Area, has the responsibility under the provisions of Fixing America’s Surface Transportation (FAST) Act for developing and carrying out a continuing, cooperative and comprehensive transportation planning process for the metropolitan area.</li><li>The Technical Advisory Committee of the Grayson County Metropolitan Planning Organization is charged with assisting the director in ensuring that plans and programs are developed and conducted in accordance with current legislation, technical tasks associated with the development of the Metropolitan Transportation Plan and the Transportation Improvement Program, and review projects and make recommendations regarding these to the Policy Board.</li><li>Voting and alternate members of the Technical Advisory Committee are appointed by the governing bodies of the Grayson County Metropolitan Planning Organization, of which the City of Denison is part of.</li></ul>
