Texas Health and Safety Code section 775.082 directs Emergency Services Districts (ESD’s) to prepare and file with the Commissioners Court “on or before June 1 of each year an audit report of the district’s fiscal accounts and records.” <br>This same section also states, “The commissioners court, on application made to the commissioners court by the district, may extend up to an additional 30 days the deadline for filing the audit report.” <br>For their reports due June 1, 2026, each of the following Travis County ESD’s has requested a 30-day extension: Travis County ESD No. 8, Travis County ESD No. 13, and Travis County ESD No. 16. <br><br>
