2025-1206 Bureau of Justice Assistance FY25 Paul Coverdell Forensic Science Improvement- Competitive Grants Program Application On a motion made by Commissioner Dr. Elba Garcia, and seconded by Commissioner Andrew Sommerman, the following order was passed and adopted by the Commissioners Court of Dallas County, State of Texas: BRIEFING DATE: October 21, 2025 FUNDING SOURCE: N/A Be it resolved and ordered that the Dallas County Commissioners Court does hereby approve the recommendation from the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences for the submission of the Bureau of Justice Assistance FY25 Paul Coverdell Forensic Science Improvement Competitive Grants Program application and authorizes the County Judge to sign the online application documents and other necessary document related to the application and acceptance of the grant award on behalf of Dallas County.
