This contract will provide security services for the Travis County Office of Security and Protection (OSP) within Technology and Operations.<br><br>OPS requests services from a licensed private security firm that will assist in creating and maintaining a safe and secure environment for visitors, employees, and contractors at several Travis County facilities. These Travis County locations have an enhanced security need due to the nature of the services of the offices, and a need for trained security officers to be prepared for any heightened security threats and behavior.<br id="isPasted"> <br>Pursuant to Texas Local Government Code 262.024, a contract for a purchase necessary to preserve or protect the public health or safety of the residents of the County is exempt from the requirement established by Section 262.023 if the Commissioners Court by order grants the exemption.<br> <br>This contract is anticipated to exceed $50,000 over the life of the contract. <br><br><strong id="isPasted">Contract Information: </strong><br>Contract No.: 4400008687<br>Contractor Name: Watchmen Protective Services LLC <br>Contract Award Amount: As needed<br>Contract Period: Execution through September 30, 2031
