The Sheriff’s Office requests Commissioners Court approval for the purchase of equipment and improvements related to the Control Room Upgrade Project. The purpose of this project is to enhance the well-being, safety, and productivity of control room operators by ensuring compliance with ergonomic standards and improving visibility into security operations.<br id="isPasted"> <br>Through site evaluations conducted in collaboration with Risk Management, the project will implement ergonomic solutions designed to maximize available space and create more efficient working environments that support the health and performance of the staff. In most cases, the project will result in the installation of both primary and secondary operator stations equipped with advanced technology and equipment necessary to support operational effectiveness.<br><em> </em><br>Subchapter D of Chapter 271 of the Local Government Code provides for state cooperation in local government purchasing programs.
