The Onion Creek Greenway II project is a capital improvement project approved by voters in the 2011 bond election. Funding approved in the Bond Order is for the design and construction of recreational facilities and support infrastructure on county-owned land from McKinney Falls Parkway to the confluence of Onion Creek with the Colorado River.<br><br>This Interlocal Agreement between Travis County and the City of Austin allows the County to design, construct, operate, and maintain a public hike-and-bike trail through the City-owned Onion Creek Preserve to connect portions of the County’s Onion Creek Greenway trail system. The agreement automatically renews in 10-year periods but may be terminated under specified conditions.<br><br>TNR has coordinated the development and review of the Agreement with the County Attorney's Office.
