2026-0090 Authorize the Legacy Family Court Grant Application for FY2027 grant through the State Criminal Justice Planning Fund with the Criminal Justice Division, Office of the Governor. On a motion made by Commissioner Dr. Elba Garcia, and seconded by Commissioner Andrew Sommerman, the following order was passed and adopted by the Commissioners Court of Dallas County, State of Texas: BRIEFING DATE: January 20, 2026 FUNDING SOURCE: Office of the Governor Be it resolved and ordered that the Dallas County Commissioners Court does hereby Authorize the submission of the application for the Specialty Court Grant funding through the Criminal Justice Division, Office of the Governor, to benefit the Dallas County Legacy Family Court for the FY2027 year, from September 1, 2026-August 31, 2027, and to sign the accompanying required resolution and designate the County Judge as the Authorized Official for this grant application.
