2026-0339 Authorize an lnterlocal Agreement (lLA) between the City of Dallas and the Dallas County Public Defender's (PD) Office for the PD Office to provide representation to program participants at the South Oak Cliff Veteran’s Treatment Court (VTC) under a Department of Justice (DOJ) grant. Amount not to exceed $22,000 On a motion made by Commissioner Dr. Elba Garcia, and seconded by Commissioner Dr. Theresa Daniel, the following order was passed and adopted by the Commissioners Court of Dallas County, State of Texas: BRIEFING DATE: March 17, 2026 FUNDING SOURCE: General Fund Be it resolved and ordered that the Dallas County Commissioners Court does hereby approve the execution of the Interlocal Agreement between the City of Dallas and Public Defender’s (PD) Officefor the PD Office to provide representation to program participants at the South Oak Cliff Veteran’s Treatment Court (VTC) under a Department of Justice (DOJ) grant and allow the County Judge to sign all documentation related to the execution thereof. The term of the contract will last from the approval of the agreement until September 29, 2026. The city of Dallas will pay Dallas County an amount not to exceed $22,000.
