The Facilities Management Department (FMD) is constructing improvements at the Travis County Westside Service Center located at 4501 N. FM 620. The project requires Austin Energy to demolish and relocate existing electrical facilities in order to accommodate the County's planned improvements. The requested action is related to the Electrical Utility Easement approved by the Commissioners Court on April 7, 2026.<br><br data-pasted="true">Austin Energy has determined that relocation of its existing electrical facilities is necessary to accommodate the County's planned improvements. Austin Energy has issued Work Order No. 651499 identifying the County's estimated share of the relocation costs as $269,457.35.<br><br>Texas Local Government Code 262.024(a)(7)(C) provides a discretionary exemption for the procurement of utility services because the services can only be obtained from one source.
