2025-1180 Tax Assessor/Collector – Request for Double-Fill of Tax Assessor/Collector, Chief Deputy, Position #0689 On a motion made by Commissioner Dr. Elba Garcia, and seconded by Commissioner Andrew Sommerman, the following order was passed and adopted by the Commissioners Court of Dallas County, State of Texas: BRIEFING DATE: October 21, 2025 FUNDING SOURCE: General Fund (12000) Be it resolved and ordered that the Dallas County Commissioners Court does hereby approve a double-fill for the Tax Assessor/Collector, Chief Deputy position (Grade O, #0689) at an estimated cost of $39,500 with funding available within budget (100.12000.1035.61020.10000). The three criteria established in the County’s double-fill policy are met with this request. The existing staff in the office cannot absorb the additional workload because of a vacancy in the office.
