2026-0516 Jury Appreciation Week On a motion made by Commissioner Dr. Theresa Daniel, and seconded by Commissioner Andrew Sommerman, the following order was passed and adopted by the Commissioners Court of Dallas County, State of Texas: BRIEFING DATE: May 5, 2026 FUNDING SOURCE: NA Be it resolved and ordered that the Dallas County Commissioners Court does hereby NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Dallas County Commissioners Court does hereby declare May 4th – 8th, 2026, as Jury Appreciation Week in recognition of the fair and impartial justice offered to our citizens by past, present, and future jurors serving our system of justice and democracy. Dallas County recognizes the importance of jury service in the preservation of the rule of law and the fair and impartial administration of justice.
