This action approves Travis County’s entry into the automatic dispatch of emergency medical resources to high priority calls between separate jurisdictions. This will allow the closest ambulance to be sent to these high-priority medical emergencies. The electronic connection between the various jurisdictions and computer-aided dispatch systems has been in use for fire and medical first response for several years. This will further connect our communities and allow for better use of precious resources.
