2026-0990 Authorize Emergency Condition Declaration for the Beltline Road Trinity River Bridge and Authorize Direct Contract Negotiations with Ed Bell Construction Company to Perform Required Remedial Work On a motion made by Commissioner Andrew Sommerman, and seconded by Commissioner Dr. Theresa Daniel, the following order was passed and adopted by the Commissioners Court of Dallas County, State of Texas: BRIEFING DATE: September 1, 2026 FUNDING SOURCE: Road and Bridge – Bridge Maintenance and Reserves (10505) Be it resolved and ordered that the Dallas County Commissioners Court does hereby Grant the exemption for the competitive bidding process in order to expeditiously address the remedial repairs required for the Beltline Road Bridge and authorize direct negotiations with Ed Bell Construction Company to accomplish two remedial projects, Bridge Bent 15 Stabilization and Debris Removal (Project 0002W) and Sinkhole Repair (0001A) . Approval of the actual construction contract will be considered at a future Commissioners Court meeting.
