2025-1368 Authorize and approve the Memorandum of Understanding for the Naloxone Distribution Community Project between Dallas County, Texas on behalf of Dallas County Health and Human Services (“DCHHS”) and Dallas County Criminal Justice Department (DCCJD) to further naloxone distribution efforts and/or harm reduction education/training in Dallas County with an award amount not to exceed $24,620 for Year 1 Read into Record by County Administrator Darryl Martin: Zip codes 75208 and 75212 is to be added to the 2nd sentence of the 2nd paragraph of the Background section of the briefing. Paragraph should read: “All projects services funded by this funding initiative must take place in Dallas County. Priority will be given to projects taking place in the following target zip codes: 75208, 75212, 75215,75216, 75217, 75210, 75220, 75228, 75235, 75246, 75247, and 75062.” On a motion made by Commissioner Dr. Elba Garcia, and seconded by Commissioner John Wiley Price, the following order was passed and adopted by the Commissioners Court of Dallas County, State of Texas: BRIEFING DATE: November 18, 2025 FUNDING SOURCE: Fund 46600 & Project 08931 Be it resolved and ordered that the Dallas County Commissioners Court does hereby authorize and approve the Memorandum of Understanding for the Naloxone Distribution Community Project between Dallas County, Texas on behalf of Dallas County Health and Human Services (“DCHHS”) and Dallas County Criminal Justice Department (DCCJD) to further naloxone distribution efforts and/or harm reduction education/training in Dallas County with an award amount not to exceed $24,620 for Year 1.
