This item authorizes a School Resource Officer Agreement with the Friendswood Independent School District (the "District").  The City will provide four (4) police officers to staff the SRO Program.  Normal workday of an SRO will be from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, but may be altered to meet special needs of the school.  Subject to appropriations, the District will pay the City the full cost of three (3) full-time police officers and 50% for one (1) full-time sergeant.<br><br>The proposed agreement is the same as the previous agreement that the City Council approved on July 7, 2025.
