2026-0093 Approval of Third Amended Attorney Fee Contract, with Meadows, Collier, Reed, Cousins, Crouch & Ungerman, L.L.P., to provide legal services to Dallas County concerning the IRS’s Notice 972CG (and authorize execution of IRS Form 2848, power of attorney and declaration of representative) On a motion made by Commissioner Dr. Elba Garcia, and seconded by Commissioner Andrew Sommerman, the following order was passed and adopted by the Commissioners Court of Dallas County, State of Texas: BRIEFING DATE: January 20, 2026 FUNDING SOURCE: GENERAL FUND Be it resolved and ordered that the Dallas County Commissioners Court does hereby approve: 1) the Amended Attorney Fee Contract, with Meadows, Collier, Reed, Cousins, Crouch & Ungerman, L.L.P., to increase the contract cap by $15,000.00 (from $90,000.00 to $105,000.00); and, 2) the IRS Form 2848 allowing Meadows, Collier, Reed, Cousins, Crouch & Ungerman, L.L.P. to communicate with the IRS, with Charles Meadows, Naveid Jahansouz, Cody Gackle, and Luis Then of the Firm as authorized agents, on behalf of Dallas County. The Dallas County Judge is authorized to sign on behalf of Dallas County. The Commissioners Court exempts this contract from the requirements of Texas Local Government Code Section 262.023 under the exemption of Section 262.024(a)(4).
