This item is related to an Assessment and Collection Service Agreement (the “Agreement”) between Travis County and the Collins Municipal District No. 1. The Agreement consolidates the assessment and collection of property taxes into one agency, the Tax Assessor/Collector of Travis County and provides that the Travis County Attorney represents the District in enforcing the taxes. The Agreement is authorized by Texas Property Tax Code sections 6.23, 6.24 and 6.30, and by Texas Government Code Chapter 791, which is known as the Interlocal Cooperation Act. <br><br><em><strong>Collins Municipal District No. 1</strong></em><br><br>As stated in the <em>TECQ Order Granting the Petition for Creation of Collins MUD No. 1 and Appointing Temporary Directors</em>, the Collins Municipal District No.1 (the “District”) was approved by The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) on August 29, 2024 pursuant to Article XVI, Section 59 of the Texas Constitution and Texas Water Code Chapters 49 and 54. All notice requirements of 30 TAC Section 293.12(b) have been satisfied.<br><br>The District is near the intersection of East William Cannon Drive and State Highway 183.
