Cecile Erwin, in her official capacity as executive commissioner of THHSC, et al., Case No. D-1-GN-23-001610, in the 353rd District Court, Travis County, Texas On a motion made by Commissioner Dr. Elba Garcia, and seconded by Commissioner Andrew Sommerman, the following order was passed and adopted by the Commissioners Court of Dallas County, State of Texas: BRIEFING DATE: April 7, 2026 FUNDING SOURCE: GENERAL FUND Be it resolved and ordered that the Dallas County Commissioners Court does hereby approve the Third Amended Attorney Fee Contract with Chad Dunn of Brazil & Dunn, LLP, to increase the cap amount from $250,000.00 to $265,000.00, for the engagement in Dallas County, et al. v. Cecile Erwin, in her official capacity as executive commissioner of THHSC, et al., Case No. D-1-GN-23-001610, in the 353rd District Court, Travis County, Texas, and authorizes the Dallas County Judge to sign on behalf of Dallas County. The Commissioners Court exempts this contract from the requirements of Texas Local Government Code Section 262.023 under the exemption of Section 262.024(a)(4).
