2026-0929 Naming the First-Floor Community Room at the Oak Cliff Government Center in Honor of Ms. Sylvia Collins On a motion made by Commissioner Dr. Elba Garcia, and seconded by Commissioner Andrew Sommerman, the following order was passed and adopted by the Commissioners Court of Dallas County, State of Texas: BRIEFING DATE: August 18, 2026 FUNDING SOURCE: N/A Be it resolved and ordered that the Dallas County Commissioners Court does hereby name the first-floor conference room located at the Oak Cliff Government Center, 702 E. Jefferson Boulevard, Dallas, Texas 75203, the “Sylvia Collins Community Room,” in recognition of Sylvia Collins’s distinguished contributions to civic engagement, voter participation, community leadership, Dallas County, and the Oak Cliff community.
